Before revealing this awesome and insanely useful trick to windows 7 genuine fix using command prompt, let me say what inspired me to write this post. A few days back my two friends Abhisek Gupta, Bharat Patel and Kundan Bhawsar said to me that “an error message displayed on their Windows 7 PC saying “Windows 7 operating System is not Genuine.” He’s kind of freaked out and immediately called me for help. He said that he actually bought the windows 7 version via his friend(half the price). He is not that kind of tech freak as i’m and he really hates to download and use pirated versions on internet . Seems like his cheated him. Anyway i solved his problem temporarily like for another 30 days. This trick is an old one but it still works. That’s why they always say “OLD is GOLD”
I have published many tips and tricks on windows platform in the past. But i don’t know how i forgot about this simple and useful one. Anyway i have done that now. Just follow the simple steps below and you’re done.
Make Windows Genuine using CMD or Command Prompt
Step 1: Open Command Prompt in elevated or Administrator mode.
Step 2: After opening the cmd in admin mode, type “slmgr -rearm” (without quotes) and press enter. See the screenshot below.
Step 3: An alert message will be displayed after the above step and you need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
That’s all you need to do and after restarting your computer you can see that your windows 7 is genuine as before. But take caution this trick works only for 2 times, each giving your windows 7 PC a 30 day genuine period. So we can say that this command actually resets the trail counter.
